A Ferrari 458 Spider with 570 horsepower races a Lamborghini Huracan with 610 horsepower. The Huracan costs 100k less by the way.
Both cars used launch control. The right lane reads 3mph LOW. PBIR has not fixed this problem in over a year. Frustrating.
Check out Alejandro Salomon darg racing his Porsche 918 Spyder against a couple Bugatti Veyron Super Sport’s at the local drag strip. The Porsche 918 Spyder makes 887 Horse Power from it’s hybrid powertrain and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport makes 1,200 horse power.
It seems the Veyrons weren’t always using their launch control feature while the 918 did every time. The 918 managed 10.4 -10.6 quarter mile times throughout the day. Pretty consistent car. Salomon (918) had a passenger and luggage weighing the car down during the runs.
The Veyron Vitesse was faster after the 1/8th mile mark showing its additional power over the 918. When the Veyron used launch control and timed the light correctly it was taking the win light. It just goes to show it’s not always about the car that has the most power. Driving skill comes into play as well.

(Tesla P85D Vs Hellcat) – To The Floor captured the famous green Hellcat ripping off some high 10 second quarter mile drag strip runs earlier this week. The owner John aka Johnnyhellcat decided he had had enough of an electric car beating his combustion rocket and slapped some drag radials on the sucker and hit the strip for some practice runs. About 10 practice runs later he ran an incredible 10.8 @ 127mph! He learns fast and is ready for the Telsa P85D side by side drag race rematch of the century! Just imagine how fast this 4,400 pound monster will be with some minor modifications and race gas! Who do you think will win the rematch? Do you feel the hellcat should put his stock skinny 275 tires back on for the race?
