In today’s world of hyper fast cars it seems the 0-60 times have become extremely quick. Back in the 90’s a 0-60 time of under 6 seconds would be considered very fast and beneath 5 seconds would be considered supercar territory.
Today, it is very common for a plain 4 door sedan to be in the under 6 second category. Even a large group of 5,000+ pound SUV’s share 0-60 times under 6 seconds and some are even below the 5 second barrier.
Extremely fast cars such as the Nissan GT-R, 2010, Porsche 911 Turbo and select Ferrari’s and Lamborghinis are knocking on the under 3 second barrier!
The fastest production car to date is the Bugatti Veyron. It has been tested to run 0-60 in well under 3 seconds! That is as fast as the quickest production sport bikes!
