Exactly ! Just how I remember them — strong acceleration – and terrible handling and braking – 8 mpg – and loose steering. However — they set the bar for acceleration that lasted for? 40 years and made them legendary. The other thing — that the tests don’t show — is that we had fun. Dangerous fun — but fun. The fun is what made them the classics they are today.

    That really swings, cat!?

  3. Lockemeister Says:

google the 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. it’s a? really futuristic looking car.

  4. Gabriel Sandoval Says:

8-10 Mpg!!! ouch. Those? where the days

  5. Lockemeister Says:

The? Dodge Charger and especially the Plymouth Satellite Sebring were more futuristic and modern looking than ALL of today’s American car offerings.

  6. Lockemeister Says:

The driver is doing a decent? job keeping this sled on the road.

  7. meetthefocker2 Says:

Yes that is cheap, but compared to what Cadillacs cost in 1971 (under $7000 for a sedan de ville) it seems like a lot for a mere Dodge, albeit? a fully loaded one.

  8. boardskins Says:

About one-third of the typical guy’s yearly salary in 1975. Pretty cheap, by today’s? standard.

  9. boardskins Says:

Eight? to ten miles per gallon?? LOL

  10. dave440v8 Says:

    about? 126 mph

  11. DodgeTheSupernaut Says:

I love Chargers, when it corners it looks? like a dying whale on wheels trying frantically to get back to the ocean :D

  12. soulsearcher106 Says:

It is in damn near perfect condition. One rust spot at? the very bottom the th rear fender no longer than your hand and no wider than 3 fingers. Other than that it is fine aside from some driver seat wear.

  13. 7072wedgehead Says:

and i thought mercedes invented headlight wipers in? the 90,s……

  14. meetthefocker2 Says:

5000 dollars for that?? Thats a heck of a lot of money.

  15. Richard C Says:

Yes, you´re right. They had something,? personality.

  16. JET997u Says:

Oh? yeah… back when cars were fun.

  17. Haffschlappe Says:

Its very important on old cars to use 1% two stroke oil added to the fuel, modern fuel contains ethanol and that? lets corrode the old engine materials? and carb / injection systems, so in Germany all vintage car owners allways add 1% smokefree two stroke oil API TC to the fuel!

  18. Haffschlappe Says:

dont? forget the two stroke oil!

  19. kasmanien Says:

I love the way this guy talks, just says what? he wants and doesn’t worry about how he says it.This was back before Americans starting acting like a bunch of damn pussies, and trying to be everybody’s friend instead of being honest. “…that doesn’t look like it came off a GM drawing board..” LOL “..get the same effect by dragging your foot..” ha ha
