Not all disabled people rely on motor vehicles. My best friend has a mobility impairment and doesn’t have a car. He has a wheelchair, but he primarily uses his handcycle. It’s a 3 wheeled vehicle that uses hand cranks instead of pedals. So there are human powered options for people with disabilities. For those who can’t use a handcycle there are electric wheelchairs and scooters. Ultimately? we need to get away from cars, weather we like it or not. Cars are not sustainable in large numbers.
That’s true. However, people ARE used to the convenience of cars, and realistically they are not going to swap them for bikes, especiallly not if they want to go on long journeys or get somewhere fast. Apart from over-weight and unfit people, there are also disabled people who depend upon? motor transport. Thinking practically, people are not going to convert. And so we are left to consider eco-friendly cars. Sure the production process is still a problem, but surely we can refine that too?
They can be for most people. The fact that they aren’t is a problem. I think more people could get by without a car just fine if they really wanted to. The problem is that people are used? to the convenience of a car. Also, many people are overweight and out of shape. It can be hard to get into good enough shape for practical bike riding. It was hard for me. But I managed to do it.
The fact is, most people don’t need to drive as much as they do, if at all.
Do you have any arguments to refute any of what I said? If you do have any arguments I would love to hear them. Rational debate is a good thing. Calling people names just makes you? look like the idiot.
ERW high speed airless will extend the range of any vehicle. End the ban on media coverage of ERW. America is the country of new ideas. We have multiple patents covering bicycle, auto,? truck, high speed military and yet you have never heard of us!
Good ideas though! Human powered vehicles for personal transportation are definitely a good way to go!
The people of this world need? to redirect their ways of thinking and come up with a much better solution to environmentally friendly transportation. Unfortunately most people are too lazy to do this.
For electric powered vehicles use capacitors instead of batteries or come up with some other way to eliminate batteries with the use of electric vehicles.
The only way a electric car would be environmentally friendly is if you don’t have to have lots of batteries to run them. If you could create an electric system that does not require the charging of batteries to run the motors then you could have an environmentally friendly electric vehicle. Batteries are very hazardous and are not environmentally friendly. They pollute the environment when they are disposed of. We should create electric motors that do? not require batteries to run them.
The burning of hydrogen is enviromentally friendly. Bikes are always a good thing but you can’t? use a bike to haul a family in or to ship supplies in mass ammounts.
Cars are NOT environmentally friendly. It doesn’t matter what’s powering them. Tons of materials and energy go into making a car. For the amount of materials and energy used to make a car, you could make multiple bicycles. Cars are a waste of energy. If you really want to be eco friendly, ride a bike. That’s what I do. With a good bike? and trailer you can carry more than you can with a car. Try transporting a refrigerator with your car. You can do that with a good bike trailer.
Batteries can’t be recharced in minutes. Perhaps they can be in the future, but I recon we will see hydrogen becomin our fuel in the future. Batteries? are also heavy, which ruins “fuel economy”.
@willbiltam08 Please see President Obamas all-out effort to develop better batteries and sources of fuel. Government will do what the free market has not – give us the freedom from Middle Eastern petroleum. arpa-e.energy.gov You will find, like digital cameras, smart phones, computers, and memory? chips, that new materials and economies of scale will make EV batteries affordable. The only constant is change.

If we’d change everything that involves gas? to hydrogen we get on just fine, it’s just the kick start that’s the problem

to get hydrogen you need water, that can be? expensive, unless the water is’t pure

I can’t wait to purchase a fuel cell car. BEV’s were never going to work, I’ve? been saying it all along, hydrogen is the future.
