SSP Nissan GT-R goes even faster and sets new trap speed record 141.18 in the quarter mile.

Drag Racing, Nissan

Wednesday night in Jupiter Florida at PBIA two SSP cars attended a test and tune. There were 5 GT-R’s present that night. All of them were running in the 10′s.

Jim at SSP (South Side Performance) was the key player in the building of these beasts was also at the track. SSP has built some amazing machines. They sound great and break records every time they hit the track. The cars just keep running and running with no problems it seems. Jack Cecil of HP logic was the tuner of the two record holding GT-R’s. You have to give prop’s to tuners and builders who back up their claims with real world numbers at drag strips. Dyno numbers are half the equation in making a powerful car get down the road quickly.

This is the video of the trap speed record. Look for the black SSP car in our videos with the quickest ET of ANY GTR in the world in the 1/4 mile! I wouldn’t be surprised if we see 9′s from these cars in the near future.

This is the trap speed record as of March 10th. Updates will follow.
