Ready to see some real world drag race performance numbers from a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4? We captured a video of two Aventadors lined up side by side in South Florida on a chilly 50 degree March evening.
The Aventador weights 3,470 pounds dry and has an absolute monster of an engine. It produces 691 horsepower at 8250 rpm and 509 pound-feet of torque at 5500 to be exact.
The two Aventadors we hear are owned by Lamborghini N/A and are taking part in a local road course event.
The numbers for the orange car were impressive considering he rolled onto the throttle using no launch control. He still was able to run 11.1 seconds at 130mph with a rather slow 60 foot time of 1.95 seconds.
The night was cold as were the Lamborghini’s tires. We feel the aggressive 5,000rpm Launch Control used by the white Aventador on the left was just too much for the track conditions.
The drivers were not versed in how to drag race the Aventadors so the quarter mile times should easily be improved upon with a proper launch. We have no reason to believe that the factory number of 10.8 seconds or better could be achieved.
